Mendoj se perkthimi i sakte i fjales οὐλομένην duhet te jete mendje - ULËT.

οὐλό ''ul ,perkul '' eshte perdorur edhe ne togfjalesha te tjere si οὐλόφυλλος [ οὐλό+φυλλος] 'with curling leaves' , me gjethe te perkulura ; οὐλοκέρως [οὐλο+κέρως] 'with crumpled horns' ,me brire te perkulur,ndersa tek οὐλομένην 'mendje - ULËT' eshte kuptimi figurativ qe e ben me serioz perdorimin e saj nga Homeri.
Keshtu qe. mund ti themi Ἀχιλῆος οὐλομένην 'Akil mendje- ULËTI'

ULËT fig. Që është i pandershëm, që ka veti morale të këqija, i poshtër; që përmban ose që shpreh mendime a qëllime të pandershme, në kundërshtim me vlerat ose me moralin e shoqërisë. Njeri i ulët. Me karakter (me shpirt) të ulët. Qëndrim i ulët. Sjellje e ulët. Synime qëllime të ulëta.
