Presidenti francez, Nicolas Sarkozy ka paralajmëruar se do të largohej nga samiti i liderëve të grupit të 20 vendeve të zhvilluara dhe në zhvillim (G20) në Pitsburg javën e ardhshme, nëse nuk do të arrihej një marrëveshje lidhur me shpërblimet e bankave, shkruante dje e përditshmja "Le Figaro". "Nëse nuk do të merret një vendim konkret, unë do të largohem", njoftoi e përditshmja, duke cituar Presidentin francez. Por ndërkohë gazeta nuk përshkruan kontekstin e deklaratës, por shefi i kabinetit të Sarkozy, Claude Gueant, tha për radion RTL se Presidenti ishte "mjaft i vendosur" për të arritur një marrëveshje. "Duhet marrë seriozisht", u shpreh Gueant për deklaratën e Sarkozy.
