Fjala hospital(eng) ose ospitale(it) e cila ka perkthimin shqip spital, mendohet se buron :
from neuter of Latin hospitlis, of a guest, from hospes, hospit-, guest;
Kuptimi modern per te eshte:
An institution that provides medical, surgical, or psychiatric care and treatment for the sick or the injured.
Ne kohet me te vjetra, ku kuptim nuk kishte te bente specifikisht me institucionin mjekesor, por ishte me shume nje shtepi ndihme per miqte dhe te huajt:
Archaic a charitable home, hospice, or school
Qe ai ka qene nje shtepi e tregon dhe fjala shqipe spit-al, qe eshte pararendesja e fjales ""greke" te huazuar nga shqipja spiti( qe eshte ne fakt nje kombinim i dy fjaleve me te njejtin kuptim shpi dhe shtepi).
Nuk ka dyshim qe fjala hospital dhe hospite dhe hospitality kane preardhje te perbashket dhe ajo eshte fjala spiti(shpi, shtepi). Vete hospitability(mikpritja) ka te beje mbi te gjitha me ofrimin e shtepise per te huajin apo mikun, per te kaluar naten dhe rreziqet qe mund ti kanosen, pra vete fjala spitali(hospitale) shpreh ne fakt aktin e lënjes se shtepise ho-spi-ta le(ose spit-a le, ]?[) ne dizpozicion te mikut apo te huajit, nje akt te institucionalizuar nder shqiptaret. Kushdo qe te jete burimi i ketyre fjaleve ne gjuhet latine apo neolatine, ai nuk mund te shkoje pertej shqipes ose gjuhes nene te shqipes.
